Ceremony Honors Organ Donation and Transplantation Efforts

At a special ceremony held recently by the UW Organ Procurement Organization, five roses were presented to individuals who represent the thousands across the U.S. whose lives have been affected by organ transplantation. The roses will be shipped to Pasadena and placed on the Donate Life 2013 Rose Bowl Parade float. Learn more

Donors Honored in Rose Parade

Sue Pasewald, a receptionist at the UW Health Horicon Clinic, joins 31 other people who were selected to ride on the Donate Life America float in the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA. Sue is the mother of tissue donor Christina Pasewald, and will ride the Donate Life float in recognition of the thousands of individuals who donate each year. Learn more

Mark Your Calendars: Spotlight on Life Gala and Dance Competition

The 2013 Spotlight on Life Gala is Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the InterContinental Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. This year's "celebrity" dancers include UW Organ Procurement Organization's Mike Anderson, and UW Transplant's Sara O'Loughlin. And Dr. Luis Fernandez, last year's dance competition winner, will again dazzle on the dance floor as he kicks off the evening with an Argentinian Tango. Learn more
