Supporting Women After Cancer Treatment: Sexual Health

At least 40 percent of women experience sexual dysfunction in the wake of cancer treatment. However, few resources exist to support and help women learn how to manage the issue. The Gynecologic Oncology program at the UW Carbone Cancer Center is seeking to help female survivors learn how to talk about the issues affecting them. Read more

 
 

New Discovery for Controlling Blood Cell Development

UW Carbone Cancer Center researchers and their collaborators at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have discovered unexpectedly that a small DNA sequence drives a "master regulator" protein involved in blood cell development. Read more

 
 

Help Wisconsin's Voice Be Heard: Take the Survey for Cancer Patients and Survivors

LIVESTRONG is conducting an anonymous survey to learn more about the practical needs cancer patients and survivors face every day with challenges like employment, debt, insurance and school. They will use the information to improve programs and resources for people affected by cancer, including here in Wisconsin if enough individuals participate. Read more
