UW Health to Build Rehabilitation Hospital on Madison's East Side

UW Hospital and Clinics, in partnership with Centerre Healthcare Corporation, announced plans to build a freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison. The state-of-the-art 50-bed facility will provide the physical and clinical capacity to strengthen UW Hospital's nationally recognized programs. Read more about this initiative

 
 

Dr. Shahab Akhter Named New Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery

  Shahab Akhter

Dr. Akhter is recognized for his clinical expertise in treating advanced heart failure through the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques including implantation of ventricular assist devices.
